ASPHALT SEALING & CRACKFILLING

Seal coating is a protective treatment applied to the surface of asphalt pavements. It involves applying a layer of sealant over the existing asphalt to create a barrier against environmental damage and wear.

Crack filling involves repairing cracks and fissures in asphalt surfaces to prevent them from worsening and causing further damage. This process typically uses a specialized filler material designed to bond with the asphalt and seal the cracks.

ASPHALT SEALING

Benefits of Sealing

  • Protection Against Elements: Seal coating creates a protective barrier against UV rays, rain, snow, and chemicals, which helps prevent the asphalt from drying out, cracking, or deteriorating.

  • Enhanced Appearance: A fresh seal coat gives your asphalt a clean, uniform look, restoring its original color and enhancing curb appeal.

  • Extended Pavement Life: By shielding the asphalt from environmental and chemical damage, seal coating significantly extends the life of your pavement, reducing the need for costly repairs or resurfacing.

  • Reduced Maintenance Costs: Regular seal coating helps prevent minor issues from becoming major problems, saving you money on future maintenance and repairs.

  • Improved Safety: Seal coating helps to maintain a smooth and even surface, reducing the risk of tripping hazards and improving traction for vehicles and pedestrians.

CRACKFILLING

Benefits of Crack Filling

  • Prevents Water Infiltration: Filling cracks prevents water from seeping into the underlying asphalt and sub-base, which can cause erosion, weakening, and further damage.

  • Stops Crack Expansion: By sealing cracks, we prevent them from growing larger, which helps to maintain the structural integrity of your pavement.

  • Improves Aesthetics: Crack filling restores the appearance of your asphalt surface by eliminating unsightly cracks and creating a more uniform look

  • Enhances Safety: Filling cracks helps to prevent tripping hazards and improves the smoothness of the surface, making it safer for both pedestrians and vehicles.

  • Cost-Effective Maintenance: Crack filling is a relatively low-cost maintenance solution that can prevent more expensive repairs or resurfacing in the future.

STRIPING

Striping involves applying painted lines and markings to paved surfaces such as roads, parking lots, and driveways. These markings are essential for organizing traffic flow, guiding parking, and enhancing safety.

Key aspects include

  • Traffic Management: Lane lines, arrows, and stop bars direct and control vehicle movement

  • Parking Guidance: Clearly defined parking spaces help maximize efficiency and reduce congestion.

  • Safety Enhancement: Crosswalks and directional markings improve visibility and safety for both drivers and pedestrians.

  • Materials: Common materials include durable paints and thermoplastic, often enhanced with reflective elements for better visibility.
